For more than a decade, Rinat Lavi has been creating living spaces that interweave style, function and sophistication to create environments that are comfortable and enjoyable havens for her clients. Her design portfolio includes residential projects that vary in scope and aesthetic.

Ms. Lavi’s design philosophy is a sophisticated mix of both old and new styles. Based on her wide knowledge and understanding of period styles through 20th Century modern designs, Ms. Lavi’s interiors are eclectic and draw inspirations from different periods to create individuality and expressions. She believes that today’s lifestyle requires environments that are informal yet serene and luxurious.

In 2004, Ms. Lavi launched her own design company, Rinat Lavi Interiors, after nearly a decade of working at a well-respected design firm in New York, specializing in classical hi-end residential interiors. She is currently working on a number of apartments and houses, including a restoration of a 6,000 square feet lakeside residence. Prior to Rinat Lavi Interiors, Ms Lavi participated in the design and project management of two newly constructed residences in Florida, a Pie-de-Terre in the Pierre Hotel, and an 18,000 square-feet residence in Scarsdale. She also oversaw the design installation of three Kips Bay Show houses, all of which included a high degree of detail and craftsmanship.

Ms Lavi has a strong educational foundation, which includes a BFA in Interior Design from New York Institute of Technology, from which she graduated on Dean’s list. She has also completed the majority of graduate courses at NYU in decorative arts collecting, including an internship with the curator of Decorative Arts at the Museum of the City of New York.
